Licensed Practical Nurse Study Guide

LPN  is one of the two learning practical nursing study nursing

designations in America, apart from the other similar registered Nurse.

This degree is different from that of Registered Nurse. Some hospitals

offer diplomas of learning practical nursing study where people are

trained for the nursing job. This is an associate degree in Nursing, which

takes two years to earn compared with that of Registered Nurse

degree. For enrolling into this, one has to have high school diploma, and

may have to enroll and qualify in the National League for the Nursing

examination. These are the special programmes at some school where

people already have a bachelor’s degree can have the nursing degree in

a shorter version of time, without having to study the entire nursing

course contents which is of four years duration.

 

 

To become an LPN usually takes one year of study, and a degree is not

required although a a diploma or a certificate is issued. Some hospitals

offer LPN Training as well a number of school those offer the diploma.

Once they have graduated from the training program, the prospective

nurse will have to pass the National Council Licensure Examination

Practical nurse (NCLX PN) test before being certified. There comes the

difference in becoming the Registered Nurse or the Licensed Practical
